I don’t remember when I discovered my love of long exposure photography. But the first time I remember doing it with any intention was the summer of 2014.
I had just made my first-ever DSLR purchase (a Canon 70D) with a kit lens and a cool tripod. Went to the Dale Chihuly Bridge over I-705 in Downtown Tacoma and took many 30-second exposures of the handful of cars that streaked by. If I’d known then about shutter releases, or bulb mode, or ND filters, or anything of that nature- I wonder what could have happened.
I’m not sure. But I do know that what I know now led me to the photo on the right. Makes the journey more worth it.
